I'm Crawford McKinstry, a journalist and artist from Oklahoma City.

Sports Journalism is my passion. The culture, relationships and moral values that come from sports are what drives me to cover them. Whether I'm involved through graphic design, behind the camera or in front of it, each medium allows me to tell stories in a unique way. Playing them just isn't enough for me, I've got to be around the action all the time.

As a graphic designer I've worked closely with the Sun Devil Athletics Department making graphics for social media, print media and in-arena displays. Additionally as a freelancer, I've been commisioned to do graphic design work for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Hoop Addicts (an Oklahoma City based media company), and many local high school/college athletes requesting personal work.

As a videographer and multimedia reporter, I've been involved extensively with the Emmy-winning ASU student club Walter Cronkite Sports Network (WCSN). During my time with the student organization, I have covered Arizona State football, men's basketball, volleyball, softball and wrestling. My work with WCSN included attending/filming games and media availability for Arizona State sports, creation of digital content for social media platforms and production/reporting for live broadcasts. With Blaze Radio, the top-ranked student radio station in the country, I have done play-by-play announcing for Arizona State Athletics and co-hosted my own radio show. I also have experience as a production-assistant and camera man on ESPN+ streams for multiple Sun Devil sports. As a beat writer and photographer, I've covered the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and the NBA's Phoenix Suns for Cronkite News and Arizona PBS. 

When I'm not on the sidelines or in the studio, you'll often catch me playing basketball, going out with friends, dancing or cooking.
